January's love for photography has always been apparent. Phones with cameras may not have been a thing when she was in high school, but she has pictures to black mail her friends with because she was never without her point and shoot. When life happened and she had to grow up, she earned an associates in machining technologies and worked in plastic injection molding for 15 years as a CNC machine operator & laser welder. She didn't think about photography until she allowed herself to dream again after her husband gifted her a camera and a basic online manual course for Christmas. She joked about being a "real photographer", but never thought she would make a living doing it, much less typing out a bio to teach a group of photographers to help them with their business. Her father built a multi-million dollar business from the ground up, and she grew up hearing him quote bits of advice and knowledge that didn't sink in until she tried to run her own business. Don't be like January.
CONTENT CREATION SHOOT SOCIAL: Join Josh Brown and January Williamson for an afternoon to create social media content! There will be 2 or 3 models available and several sets. If you have been wanting to try something and have props for some content creation, this is a chance to do it. Bring that with you. Josh has some light painting ideas he also wants to create. There is no end time for this class. It can go past 4 pm and you can leave before if you need to. Josh will be one of our platform instructors at Carolina Photo Expo and is going to be teaching a class on content creation, how to execute these ideas and how to put reels together.
