Capturing the Landscape

Tom McCabe

Born in Chicago, Ill in 1946, Tom is a retired US Marine who has travelled extensively and currently lives in New Bern, NC. He is a Vietnam Veteran and a Life Member of Vietnam Veterans of America. Tom is an award-winning photographer and is the owner of Coastal Light Photographic Arts. He has been a member of Professional Photographers of North Carolina (PPNC) and Professional Photographers of America (PPA) since 2004 and has actively participated in many PPNC and PPA events. Tom received his Certification as a Professional Photographer (CPP) from PPA in September 2013 and his Master of Photography Degree in February 2015 and was accepted into the American Society of Photographers. Tom received his Photographic Craftsman Degree from PPA in January 2022.

In 2012 Tom received the Kodak Gallery Award and was awarded the 1st Place in Women’s portraiture in 2012, 1st Place in Scenic/Fine Art in 2016, and 1st Place in Commercial in 2017 at the Professional Photographers of North Carolina
