Jeannie Thomson & Aurora DeLuca

Life is hard, lighting doesn’t have to be

About the Speaker's

AuroraWhether it is braving venomous creatures while studying in Australia, exploring newly discovered caves, or galloping her horse through empty fields, Aurora has always jumped into new adventures.  And one of her biggest adventures has been as a newborn, child, and pet photographer.  Her portraiture has always been about finding the beauty in simplicity.  Her photographic work is intended to be soulfully simplistic, with a touch of humor.

Aurora’s list of professional accomplishments is long, including receiving both her Master of Photography and Photographic Craftsman degrees from the Professional Photographers of America and her Fellow of Photography from the Professional Photographers of North Carolina (PPNC).  She has won numerous awards for both human and pet portraiture and is the current president of PPNC.

Jeannie – I have been a proud member of PPNC for over 20 years and look forward to meeting you! I am fortunate to be the mom of a teenager, and I am not even saying that tongue in cheek. I am also the fur mom of two huskies who keep me on my toes vacuuming up dog hair multiple times a day. I am also the wife to a man who has a strong dislike for my cooking.

My credentials in the camera room are, fortunately, better than in the kitchen. I have been a Certified Professional Photographer since 2016 and will have earned my Masters of Photography as of January 2023. We are going to have fun learning how to find, shape, and create light to take your portraits to the next level!
