About Speaker

Karen Doody began her photography career in 2000 while working as an underwater photographer in Mexico. Her underwater images have been published in dive magazines and featured in advertising campaigns worldwide. In 2010 the desire to create beautiful images led her back to North Carolina where her business, Karen Doody Photography, specializes in weddings. She also runs The Wild Doody, her wildlife and nature photography brand which weaves together her love of wildlife photography and travel .

During COVID, she revisited macro photography since travel was limited and found a passion which presented new challenges and joyful successes. The excitement to capture images of nature on a small scale began. Her macro images have earned multiple Imaging Excellence awards and been featured in national publications.
